- COPPA Compliance - We do not accept users under the age of 13. That said, we strive to provide the maximum security possible to all of our users. Our system is equal to or better than other leading virtual world communities that target teenagers.
- Age Verification - Users must state that they are 13 years or older to enter the virtual world.
- Chat Filter - Our system comes with a profanity filter for all chat communication, as well as any text entered by users in their profiles. We are constantly updating and improving this filtering system.
- Safe Sites Filter - In our ROCKIN' Sites section, by default we activate a safe sites filter. If a site isn't on our White List, it doesn't show up. A user has to actively disable this to see all websites.
- URL Screening - Whenever a user is asked by another user to meet up on a website, we display the URL of the website before the user is taken there. This way users can decide if it's appropriate or not.
- Block Lists - We have built out a fully functional system for blocking communication between users. This blocks not only chat, but messaging and game communications. This helps prevent one user from harassing another.
- Abuse Reporting - By simply clicking on anyone's avatar, a user can report any abusive behavior. We have company representatives who respond to each and every request. If a user is acting inappropriately, the user will be banned from the system.
- Parental Controls - Our system is 100% compatible with all the major browser-based content filtering packages, including Net Nanny, CYBERsitter and Cyber Patrol. If a parent has one of these installed in their browser, it will work in conjunction with our software to block out any unwanted web content or website that the parent has specified as unacceptable.
- Content Advisor - Our system also works with the Content Advisor built into IE 7 and IE 6. This gives parents complete flexibility as to how their children access the Internet when using ROCKETON.
- Data Encryption - All sensitive data is encrypted on our servers. Only users with registered accounts and passwords can access their own data.
- Guides - In the system, we have live guides employed by the company, who help users out, vet complaints and provide assistance. On a periodic basis, the guides move about the system keeping an eye on activity, engaging with users, and providing support.
- Moderators - Our forums have live moderators who monitor all postings, help facilitate discussions, gather feedback, and remove any inappropriate materials.
