Although I love
my custom engraved iPod, I abuse the hell out of it once
it gets into my purse. Apparently when I'm not looking,
the clasp on my wallet and my 49¢ Bic
pen have been trying to shank my iPod like a couple
of Oz prison
inmates.
But I can't
let my rejected
laser engraving get scraped all to hell... I need
something to protect my iPod when I'm not.
Enter
the iPod Purses...
Love it or hate
it, but you certainly can't ignore it. The iPod has become
the ultimate style statement. Here's a roundup of some
iPod inspired bags for the fairer sex. Sorry boys, maybe
next time!
GROOVE BAG
A pioneer of sorts, the Groove
Bag was one
of the first "wired" iPod bags. It features a pair of integrated
speakers in case you might need to "battle" someone
at the mall in a dance off. Just slip your iPod in the custom fit
pocket, plug in the amplified speakers, and hit Play.
Then let the angry urban teen dancing begin.
The Groove
Bag even features a side zipper that allows access to the
docking cable for charging the iPod and an internal pocket built
specially for the AC adapter and cable.
WARNING: Losing
teen dance battles may result in you being served!
DELAPOD
Maybe
the Groove Bag isn't your style. Not everyone needs to walk around
with a boombox/purse hybrid. If you want a purse that gives you access
to the iPods controls from the outside, then perhaps you should checkout
the Delapod.
The Delapod comes
in several different styles, so you are sure to find a match
with almost every outfit you own. Though these cuties lack a built-in
speaker, they do have an integrated port to stick your headphone
cable through. Unlike the Groove Bag, if someone is blasting some block
rockin' beats through their Delapod,
you don't have to hear it.
Specs:
11" wide, 2 3/4" deep, 5 1/2" tall and 12 3/4" tall

PAUL
FRANK TORNADO
Need
a new look for summer? Love pastel animal cartoons? Lucky for
you, Paul Frank, the famous clothing designer, now makes iPod
cases. Paul Frank is notorious for putting his cartoon monkey
named Julius on
almost everything he makes. This case is no exception. There
are almost as may images of Julius on this iPod case as there
are naked
pictures of Paris Hilton on the Internet.
Although this iPod case
doesn't exactly fall under the "purse"
category, it's more Venus than Maxim if you catch my drift.
KANGAROO
iPOD POUCH
The Kangaroo pouch allows you to attach your iPod to your body
like an oversized piece of grandma's costume jewelry. You can
wear it over the shoulder, around your neck, attached to your
purse, around your waist, on your belt, attached to your belt
loop, on your arm with a hook-and-loop fastening armband, strapped
to your forehead, around your neck, attached to your belly button
ring.... you get the idea, right?

Fits iPod video and iPod 3rd and 4th generations

short strap & arm band included

ELECTRA
iTOTE Finally,
let's look a something a little different. Sometimes finding the
perfect purse is a difficult task. It can be harder than Tom Cruise
trying to pretend to the world that he likes women and isn't crazy.
For the women out there who are really picky when it comes
to purse fashion, you may want to checkout M.
Avery handbags.
Their Electra
iPod Tote is a stylish padded tote that will keep your
iPod from finding its way to the bottom of your bag without
the designer price tag. Their motto is "You design it. We build
it." You
pick everything from the dimensions to the fabric. Then their
stitchin' bitches sew it up and mail it out.
Heck,
for an extra $10 you can even get your favorite photograph
printed right on the fabric.
The men in our lives aren't
the only ones who should be wearing protection, our iPods require protection
too.
OtterBox
for iPod Mini On
the run, in the car, or at the gym, our iPods have gone with
us to the ends of the earth... except places near water. But
thanks to the OtterBox Mini you can now safely take your
iPod Mini near or even underwater.
The Torch Wicked Lasers named their new flashlight the TORCH... and for good reason. The "TORCH" is technically a flashlight. It looks like a flashlight. Operates like a flashlight. But this is no ordinary flashlight. The TORCH is so bright that its beam can ignite flammable objects as fast as fire.
Radius Atomic Bass
Earbuds If you're looking for an inexpensive, lightweight pair of earbuds with fantastic bass, then Radius' Atomic Bass earbuds are the earbuds of your dreams.
JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser You The JL421 Badonkadonk Land Cruiser (ba-donk-a-donk) is a custom made tank that looks like it was modeled after Jabba the Hut's Sail Barge from Return of the Jedi. Nicknamed the "Donk," the JL421 Land Cruiser made its debut in 2002 at the Burning Man festival in Nevada.
Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Controller Is a weak arm or physical stamina keeping you from taking your Nintendo Wii gaming experience to the next level? Perhaps you should look into getting the Nintendo Wii Nunchuck Controller. This accessory adds even more innovation to the next generation of gaming and does it all with less physical movement.
JBL
Creature II Speaker System What’s
the point of downloading your favorite songs on iTunes if they sound
like crap on your computer’s built-in speakers? The sound quality
and volume these little babies emit, much to the chagrin of my neighbors,
is truly phenomenal.
Apple TV Review You may have heard of that new Apple product, I believe it's called the, uhh, Apple TV. I understand that newspapers, other blogs, and your Aunt have already reviewed this thing, but I thought I'd add my two cents.
Mod
Your iPod Are
you a victim of the iPod's blossoming popularity? Feel like just another
pair of white headphones in the crowd? Maybe it's time you got
an iPod Mod.
H20
iPod Mini Case
H20 Audio has created a waterproof and impact
resistant case so that we can take our iPod Minis anywhere we
want… including the ocean free.
Digital
Picture Frames Why
give someone a single still framed picture when you can give them
an entire slide show? Most Digital Picture Frames can playback a
series of digital photos and videos on high-resolution screens.
JBL
Encounter Speakers In
a world of boring shelf speakers that are as fascinating
as the wires that connect them, the JBL Encounter draws people
towards it with its innovative tongue-in-cheek design and
then lavishes them with deep warm sound.
Wicked
Lasers Review What makes a Wicked Laser "wicked"? How impressive
is a military grade laser imported from China? Let's test it and find
out...
