These classic European-made buses from around the turn of the century ruled the streets of New York City for decades until their massive subway system was up and running. If you look carefully at the right side of the photo, you might notice the arch from Washington Square Park.

NERD NOTE: In 1889, to celebrate the centennial of George Washington's inauguration as president of the United States, a large plaster and wood Memorial Arch was erected over Fifth Avenue just north of Washington Square Park. The inscription on the arch reads: "Let us raise a standard to which the wise and the honest can repair. The event is in the hand of God. - Washington"

Nicknamed the "Donk," the JL421 Land Cruiser can hold a crew of 5 people internally and another 5 on the roof (or 20 Jawas). It can also be driven from within the armored shell or from an exposed standing position through the hatch. You can read all about The Donk here.
