Fox’s ”So You Think You Can Dance” was Wednesday’s most-watched show, with 10.4 million viewers in Nielsen’s estimates.
The mean-spirited dance competition led Fox to a victory in total viewers and among adults 18 to 49; it also drew the highest 18-to-34 ratings of any show so far this summer season.
But NBC was No. 1 in households for the night. Its two-hour ”Dateline: To Catch a Predator” delivered 7.8 million viewers, and a ”Law & Order” rerun brought in 7.9 million. CBS’s ”Game Show Marathon” is proving to be no ”Deal or No Deal” ratings-wise. It attracted 6.9 million viewers at 8 p.m. and dragged down the rest of CBS’s schedule, reruns of ”Criminal Minds” (8 million) and ”CSI: New York” (9.3 million).
Sunday’s season finale of ”The Sopranos” drew 8.9 million viewers. That was a drop from its last season-ender, in June 2004, which brought in an audience of just under 11 million. The show returned this year after a long hiatus.
