Steve Irwin‘s widow, Terri Irwin, says she will not watch the Crocodile Hunter TV footage of her husband’s fatal encounter with a stingray and neither will the public. She announced that the video of the incident will never be released publicly.

“What purpose would that serve?” Terri Irwin said during an interview with ABC News personality Barbara Walters.

Steve Irwin’s Death

Steve Irwin, the “Crocodile Hunter“, died earlier this month on September 4th when a stingray’s tail accidentally pierced his heart. Irwin, aged 44, was filming a TV show on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef at the time.

Remembering The Crocodile Hunter

A memorial service was held for Steve Irwin last week at their family-owned wildlife park in Queensland, Australia. Irwin was such a popular personality in Australia that the service was broadcast on three separate Australian television networks.

Australian State Premier, Peter Beattie, announced that the road near the Irwin family’s wildlife park in Beerwah would be renamed after Irwin.
