Bridget Baker was promoted to president, NBC Universal Television Networks Distribution, a new position. She was most recently executive vp, cable distribution, where she reported to recently departed David Zaslav, who was president of NBC Universal Cable. Baker will now report to Jeff Zucker, CEO, NBC Universal Television Group.
Reporting to Baker under the new structure, in addition to her current staff, will be Henry Ahn, senior vp, Cable Network Distribution; Jodi Brenner, senior vp, legal and business affairs; Mark Hotz, senior vp, marketing; Alyssa Donelan, vp, communications/media relations; and Erica Goldman, vp, events & marketing.
Baker’s promotion is part of NBCU’s organizational changes following the departure of Zaslav, who left to become president and CEO of Discovery.
Baker joined NBC in 1988 and negotiated the charter affiliation agreements that launched CNBC network. She has also been involved in NBCU’s HDTV and digital networks initiatives.
