Washington, D.C. (Sept. 26, 2003) - Aerial vie...

It is all over the news, just around 2 pm EST today an earthquake hit a number of states across the east coast. The epicenter was in Mineral, Virginia and buildings in Washington D.C., New York City and elsewhere were evacuated.

I live and work in New York City and didn’t feel one bit of tremors…well maybe I did and didn’t know it at the time. I think my desk may have vibrated for like a second or two but I mistook it for my Blackberry vibrating with all the news of the earthquake in D.C. Hindsight is 20/20.

I can’t help but wonder if people in California are laughing at us for the grand reaction to this fairly minor seismic event. There seems to be little damage and no major injuries so that is all good news. This event is also perfect timing for Will & Jada Smith. At least the quake has taken all of the attention off of them and their rumored split. Stay safe everyone!
