Your Facebook Cover Photo is Worth 1,000 Words

A picture is worth 1,000 words... including your Facebook Cover photo

As you’ve probably noticed by now, your Facebook page looks a little different these days. Facebook officially moved everyone, including brand pages, over to their new “Timeline” design in April 2012. Part of the new Timeline layout is a large 850 pixel wide image called the Cover Photo. This is a serious piece of real estate on your Facebook page and gives users an opportunity to visually express themselves beyond their Profile  image.

So far, Facebook users have creatively used their Cover Photos to showcase everything from their kids and beautiful sunsets to… lobsters? We thought that the random Cover Photo coincidence of both Jon Accarrino‘s “pet lobster” and Jennifer Kavanagh‘s lobster dinner was worthy of a few mins of Adobe Photoshop time.

What about you? If a picture is worth one thousand words, then what are you telling people with your Facebook Cover Photo? Please tweet us or post a comment below.
