Attention MacBook owners:
If you have a White Unibody MacBook with a peeling bottom, then you are able to get a replacement. Apple announced an interesting recall that allows those users who bought a MacBook from Oct. 2009 to April 2011 to get a new case bottom.
Basically, even if your case bottom is not peeling yet, it will eventually do so (within 2 years of average use).
You can choose to have a “Genius” replace the case bottom, or go to your favorite Authorized Apple Service provider. But here is the interesting part – You can do it yourself. Apple has approved the option for you to get the case bottom (free of charge) and they give instructions on how to install.
If you have a white MacBook with a rubber bottom, then check out the Apple support page. You will be able to order the kit if you decide to do it yourself.
I wonder if the MacBook Transformer has to have his bum replaced…
