NBC Universal yesterday named Michael Pilot, a General Electric executive since 2002, as president of its advertising sales division. Mr. Pilot will succeed NBC’s longtime head of sales, Keith Turner, whose departure was announced last week.
Mr. Pilot had been president of the Equipment Finance Group for G.E., which controls NBC Universal.
In his new position, Mr. Pilot, 44, will oversee all advertising sales for NBC Universal’s Television Group, and will share responsibility for sales of NBC Digital Media.
In announcing Mr. Pilot’s appointment, the NBC Universal chairman, Bob Wright, also detailed other realignments after recent departures of two other NBC executives: Randy Falco and David Zaslav.
