Japan is known for doing some crazy experimentation, especially when it comes to food. Just browse the McDonald’s Japan menu to see what I’m talking about. But the Pizza Hut Double Roll pizza from Pizza Hut Japan is insane.

Pizza Hut Double Roll Ingredients
The Pizza Hut Double Roll pizza basically looks like they just threw whatever ingredients they had in the kitchen onto a pizza. See if you can identify each ingredient in the photo. The only thing that’s missing is a pint of fry sauce or ranch dressing for dipping sauce (or drinking). Here’s the ingredients list.
- mini bacon wrapped hot dogs
- mini hamburger patties
- mushrooms
- soybeans
- corn
- paprika
- garlic chips
- green peppers
- pepperoni
- mozzarella cheese
- cheddar cheese
- parmigiana cheese
- ketchup and maple syrup
NOT A Healthy Menu Item
At 646 calories per slice, make sure you bring your own defibrillator to the restaurant. This pizza might be your last meal. BTW, the Pizza Hut Double Roll is recommended for kids. And I thought America had a child obesity problem. Looks like Japan is trying to catch up.
The only thing more shocking than the ingredients list is the price. The Double Roll isn’t cheap. A medium size Double Roll pie costs 2500 yen (£10, $20). The large is 3550 yen (£14, $29).
