Do you own a smartphone? There’s a 50/50 chance that you do. Over 1/2 of the 7 billion people on Earth now own a Google, Apple (iPhone), RIM (Blackberry), Microsoft or Symbian smartphone. That’s bad news for computer manufacturers who haven’t expanded into the mobile market. Many people, especially in the United States, are choosing to use their smartphones for all of their computing needs and there and now more smartphones owners than computers owners. MethodShop and Coupon Audit (@CouponAudit) co-produced the infographic below with lots of other statistics on the growth of smartphones.
