Michel de Nostradame, aka the legendary astrologer Nostradamus, left behind a collection of predictions in his book, “Les Propheties.” Published in 1555, he famously documented his predictions for the future as four-line poems called quatrains. For centuries, scholars have analyzed the Nostradamus predictions, believing his verses have predicted major events from the rise of Adolf Hitler and the COVID pandemic to the nuclear bombs used in World War II.

While skeptics may dismiss his work as deliberate misinterpretations or mistranslations, many believe in his writings. Some expects claim that his predictions have a 70% accuracy rate. From foreseeing historical tragedies to geopolitical shifts, his predictions have sparked both intrigue and skepticism.
The Nostradamus Predictions For 2023 – What Did He Get Right?
As both inflation and the cost-of-living continue to rise, households are being pushed to the breaking point. But Nostradamus predicted this over 450 years ago. In the 2023 predictions from Nostradamus, he wrote:
“So high will the bushel of wheat rise, that man will be eating his fellow man.”
Although society hasn’t resorted to mass cannibalism yet, the economy is pushing people to choose between buying food or paying for medicine and heat for their homes.
Nostradamus Predictions For 2024
2023 was a rollercoaster, and if Nostradamus is to be believed, the ride is far from over. What are the Nostradamus predictions for 2024? And how worried should we be?
China in the Crosshairs: A Prophecy of Naval Confrontation
One of the most shocking Nostradamus predictions for 2024 involves a confrontation with a ‘Red adversary’.
As tensions continue to rise between the United States and China in the South China Sea, it isn’t hard to connect this conflict with a Nostradamus prediction for 2024. In a quatrain about ‘combat and naval battle’, he wrote the following:
“Red adversary will become pale with fear / Putting the great Ocean in dread.”
With a looming vision of ‘combat and naval battle,’ Nostradamus suggests a scenario that could send shockwaves across the globe. As the United States navigates its international relations, this prediction takes on a new gravity, raising questions about the future of geopolitical stability.
The Royal Shuffle: A Monarch’s Downfall and an Unexpected Heir
Another one of Nostradamus’ quatrains alludes to the ‘King of the Isles,’ with a controversial divorce who is ‘driven out by force’ and replaced by a successor with ‘no mark of a king.’
Is King Charles III the ‘King of the Isles’? He did have a controversial divorce with Princess Diana. Will King Charles be forced out by a scandal? Could Prince Harry be the successor with ‘no mark of a king’? Why would Harry take the crown instead of his older brother Prince William? Will William not survive to be King? King Harry is an interesting Nostradamus prediction for sure.
Climate Chaos
As global temperatures continue to rise, wildfires rage, and extreme weather evens become more common, our climate has been thrown into chaos.
In his quatrains for 2024, Nostradamus says that, ‘The dry earth will grow more parched’, ‘there will be great floods, and ‘very great famine through pestiferous wave’.
A “pestiferous wave” or wave of pests could be insects or disease. Taking place after mass droughts and floods, could be disastrous.
A New Pope?
Pope Francis has been suffering health issues and is in his late-80s. If the Pope dies, who will be his successor? According to Nostradamus, the world will get a new Pope in 2024.
“Through the death of the very old Pontiff. A Roman of good age will be elected.”
Does “a Roman of good age” mean a young Pope? While that might sound exciting, the verse continues and says that the new leader will ‘weaken his see’. In this context, “See” refers to the Holy See, or the papal court. Does that mean that the new Pope will reduce the power of the Pope’s inner circle?
From Conflicts With China To A New Pope: 2024 As Predicted By Nostradamus
Nearly 500 years after his death, Nostradamus still remains the world’s most famous astrologer of all time. Whether you’re a skeptic or a believer, the thought of someone being able to predict the future remains fascinating. Do you think his predictions will come true in 2024?
