It’s official, the Internet now extends beyond puny planet Earth! For the past month, Astronaut TJ Creamer has been working with NASA flight control to get Internet access in the International Space Station. NASA’s IT wizards were finally able to connect the space station to the Internet by giving a laptop in orbit remote access to a desktop computer in Mission Control. It isn’t fast, but at least now Astronauts can get occasional access to the Internet… including email and Twitter.
