The next time that you are in Kmart and decide to buy some groceries, skip the bacon and meat section. Kmart sells “something” called Jamestown Brand Hardwood Smoked Bacon. But can it legally still be called “bacon” if the meat-to-fat ratio is well under 3%? Take a look at this picture. Is Kmart bacon a “meat” or just a package of fat?
