The next time that you are in Kmart and decide to buy some groceries, skip the bacon and meat section. Kmart sells “something” called Jamestown Brand Hardwood Smoked Bacon. But can it legally still be called “bacon” if the meat-to-fat ratio is well under 3%? Take a look at this picture. Is Kmart bacon a “meat” or just a package of fat?
Kmart Bacon = Gross
Just take one look at this pack of bacon. Your first instinct will be to say, “But bacon is fatty right?” Then you will look at this picture and realize that your second instinct, to vomit, is in fact, the correct one.
come on guys. it looks delicious! i’d eat it. but i’d cook it really crispy.
probably not.
legally is that even “meat”?
