Guns N' Roses was formed in March 1985 by Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin from Hollywood Rose, along with L.A. Guns founders lead guitarist Tracii Guns, drummer Rob Gardner and bassist Ole Beich. The band coined its name by combining the names of both previous groups.
