NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution has promoted David Blair Epstein to VP of digital strategy, a newly created post.
Reporting to Betsy Bergman, VP of marketing for the division, Epstein will continue to run the Web site for the syndicated strip “Access Hollywood” while expanding digital opportunities for NBC U’s online properties.
At “Access Hollywood,” the New York-based Epstein worked on the design, technology and operation of the show’s Web site, helping to launch additional digital products. Thanks to Epstein’s improvements, the number of unique visitors to the show’s site ballooned by 249% last month vs. February 2006, according to NBC U.
Before joining NBC Universal, Epstein was a consultant for Digital Media Farm, working with startup clients on their Web strategies. Earlier, he was founder and CEO of BlairLake New Media.
