Randy Falco, the longtime television executive appointed last week as the new chief executive of Time Warner Inc.’s AOL unit, named Internet veteran Ron Grant as his No. 2 executive.
Mr. Grant, 40 years old, is a former AOL executive who has most recently been a digital strategist at New York-based Time Warner’s corporate headquarters. He joins AOL as president and chief operating officer.
In an interview about Mr. Grant’s appointment, Mr. Falco said he isn’t planning any big shake-up at AOL right now.
“I don’t have a plan to shift the strategy” at AOL, said Mr. Falco, 52, who comes to the online unit from a long career at General Electric Co’s NBC Universal. “The strategy is right. The implementation has to be right as well, and that’s what Ron and I are going to focus on.”
