Baseball does many different promotions to get people in the park. From bobble-heads, signed baseballs, celebrity appearances and more. But this one may just take the cake.
If you are in San Francisco on September 4th and a fan of Star Wars, you might want to stop out at AT&T park. It’s Star Wars night. Not only will you get seats in the section, you can get access to the pregame party and a limited edition Star Wars / Giants themed item (which they show a couple Giants encased in carbonite). Finally, once the game is over, you can watchEpisode V: The Empire Strikes Back.
Right now, the seats are sold out, but there is standing room available.
People will be dressed up in Star Wars garb. I would guess that San Fran is hoping for the Force to show up. After all, they are #1 in NL West – they need all the help to stay at the top.
