The Sesame Street Podcast reached #1 on iTunes just a week after launching, thanks in part to guest spots from celebrities like Jon Stewart, Matt Lauer, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Chris Brown.
The weekly 5-minute series features clips from current and past Sesame Street episodes as well as animated and live-action shorts. American Greetings has signed on as its initial sponsor.
“We are so excited to see that our fans are embracing this fun and a convenient new way to experience SESAME STREET,” said Gary E. Knell, President/CEO, Sesame Workshop. “This podcast is a natural extension of the show’s mission and an example of how SESAME STREET is continually evolving to help children, no matter where they are, develop a love of learning.”
Each 5-minute podcast episode features clips from new and classic SESAME STREET episodes as well as animation and live-action films.
