Remember Ted Williams, the golden-voiced homeless guy who went from panhandling to viral YouTube sensation earlier this month? You probably heard he landed a deal voicing a Kraft Mac ‘n’ Cheese commercial. Well, that commercial has finally hit the Internet – and guess what? It’s gone viral. Move over Double Rainbow and Antoine Dodson… Who would have thought? Here’s the Kraft commercial with Williams.
Who Is Ted Williams?
If you have no idea who Ted Williams is (hint: not the baseball player), then you were probably in a coma the last couple of weeks. To make a long story short, after battling drug addiction for decades, he ended up living homeless by an Ohio highway. Williams has a deep radio-like voice and would use it to charm motorists while he panhandled.
Doral Chenoweth, a cameraman for The Columbus Dispatch, shot a quick video of Williams showing off his “golden” voice and posted it on YouTube. Once online, the video became an instant sensation and Williams was flooded with requests for TV appearances and job offers including one from Kraft. Hell, he even has his own Wikipedia page. Not bad for someone who was still homeless a month ago.
