Have you ever wondered what would happen if you dropped your iPhone into volcanic lava? Now you don’t have to. YouTube user TechRax tossed his rose gold iPhone 6s underneath a blob of molten lava and recorded it all on video.
At first, the iPhone just smolders in the lava which is usually somewhere around 1,740 °F. What we don’t see is the glass screen cracking, plastic melting and the battery starting to liquify.
And then after a few seconds, the iPhone can’t handle much more and catches on fire. RIP.
