The heavy rotation of the video “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on MTV might have made Nirvana superstars, but Kurt Cobain definitely wasn’t happy with the cable network. An unsent letter he wrote to MTV in 1993 is now up for auction:

Dear Empty TV
the entity of all Corporate Gods
