With a budget of $13 million per 30-minute episode, The Mandalorian had a lot of expectations to carry. Yet while costumes, sets, and special effects racked up the budgets to tie it seamlessly into Star Wars lore, it was the snippets of dialogue that really made the show a success. So, what are the best lines? Surprisingly, not all of them were by The Mandalorian himself. Read on as we give the best Mandalorian quotes.
“You expect me to search the galaxy for the home of this creature and deliver it to a race of enemy sorcerers?”
This singular line manages to sum up the whole premise of the Disney Plus series and The Mandalorian as a character. It is such a great line as even when he utters it, you know he is going to end up taking on the challenge. Whether he wants to, or not, is irrelevant.
Just how little The Mandalorian knows about the Jedi is inherent in this comment. To him, they are another race across another planetary system to find, a job at which he is the best.
“I’m sorry, lady. I don’t understand frog.”
In Season 2, The Mandalorian gets stranded on an ice planet while helping the frog lady get reunited with her family. The frog lady repeatedly tries talking to him, but the frustrated Mandalorian can’t respond because he doesn’t speak… frog.
- “I’m sorry, lady. I don’t understand frog.” — The Mandalorian (“The Passenger,” Season 2, Chapter 10)
“I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold.”
This line from season one, episode one is a great setup for The Mandalorian. It shows his direct, no-nonsense approach.
Unlike most bounty hunters, The Mandalorian is not hiding in the shadows waiting to strike. Instead, he walks in front and center. While he does give his targets a choice, it is in a very cold methodical way.
- “I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold.” — The Mandalorian (“The Mandalorian,” Season 1, Chapter 1)
All of this is great for his character arc. Considering you don’t see his facial expressions until later in the series, these lines are extremely important to show how he is developing throughout the story.

Even The Mandalorian couldn’t dissuade Kuiil from helping him. Once Kuiil makes up his mind, it’s pointless to argue against him.
- “I have spoken.” — Kuiil (“The Mandalorian,” Season 1, Chapter 1)
“I will initiate self-destruct.”
This line is spoken by the droid IG-11. It is so powerful as it is previously revealed that The Mandalorian has a huge mistrust of droids and does not use them to get his work done.
- “I will initiate self-destruct.” — IG-11 (“The Mandalorian,” Season 1, Chapter 1)
Having a droid that is willing to sacrifice itself to save him during a blaster fight is the first step in turning over his misconceptions about them.
“Would anyone care for some tea?”
In one of the funnier moments from The Mandalorian, the bounty hunting droid, IG-11, gets reprogrammed by Kuiil. IG-11’s personality changes from a cold murderous artificial intelligence to domesticated caretaker that serves tea.
- “Would anyone care for some tea?” — IG-11 (“The Reckoning,” Season 1, Chapter 7)
“Take it off. Or I will.”
Though the whole series has a western feel to it, this episode gives a nod to the classic genre more so than others. The Mandalorian meets Cobb Vanth at a lonely frontier town. What is most interesting is that he appears to be wearing a very familiar suit of armor.
That armor is legendary bounty hunter(Amazon link) Boba Fett‘s, and it is apparent the wearer is not from Mandalore. When the hunter removes his mask, the imposter is revealed and the fateful line is uttered.
The 23 Best Mandalorian Quotes Share on X“When one chooses to walk the way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey.”
The Armorer has some great lines in the series, including this one.
With their planet destroyed, the Mandalorians are constant nomads. While they hunt others, they accumulate enemies and the Beskar armor they wear makes them a valuable target. Thus, they are constantly moving beings who can never settle.
- “When one chooses to walk the way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey.” — The Armorer (“The Sin,” Season 1, Chapter 3)
“You are a clan of two.”
This pronouncement binds the Mandalorian to the Child by the Mandalorian Creed, affirming their fates have been tightly bound since they first met.
- “You are a clan of two.” — The Armorer (“Redemption,” Season 1, Chapter 8)
“I like those odds.”
This line gives us an insight into how the bounty hunter thinks. Everything is weighed up in his mind before he makes a decision. It is not a case of getting the most favorable odds either. He won’t back down, even when outnumbered in a fight.
- “I like those odds.” — The Mandalorian (“The Mandalorian,” Season 1, Chapter 1)
The Mandalorian knows what he can do. Even if the outcome seems stacked against him, he will know if he can prevail or not. With a lot of skill and a little luck, every task he takes is measured.

“I’ve seen what such feelings can do to a fully trained Jedi knight. To the best of us.”
Ahsoka Tano was a surprise entrance into The Mandalorian series, and one welcomed by Star Wars fans. While she did not have many lines, the ones she did were poignant and informative. This one sums up the hurt and loss she felt at the betrayal of her former master, Anakin Skywalker.
- “I’ve seen what such feelings can do to a fully trained Jedi Knight. To the best of us.” — Ahsoka Tano (“The Jedi,” Season 2, Chapter 13)
“Stop touching things.”
This Mandalorian quote inspired a wave of Internet memes. Mando is the caretaker of a child who likes to act, like a child. That includes touching things, like the controls on his ship. Watching The Mandalorian try to get control of The Child is both funny and heartwarming.
- “Stop touching things.” — The Mandalorian (“Sanctuary,” Season 1, Chapter 4)
“You have something I want. You may think you have some idea of what you have in your possession, but you do not. Soon, he will be back with me. He means more to me than you will ever know.”
While many of the earlier lines show the Mandalorian’s cold outlook on life, this one shows how he has changed. In season two, episode fifteen, The Mandalorian must get Grogu (Baby Yoda) back. When he utters the line both Din Djarin himself and Moff Gideon know how serious he is, not just on a business level, but on a personal one as well.
“Wherever I go, he goes.”
By the end of Season 2, it’s pretty clear that nothing is going to forcibly separate Mando from The Child. He’s determined to complete his quest to reunite the Child with his own kind.

“Dank farrik.”

- “Dank farrik.” — Cara Dune (“The Siege,” Season 2, Chapter 12)
“A Mandalorian and a Jedi? They’ll never see it coming.”
