So apparently there was this iPhone case that was an image of Steve Jobs encased in carbonite. You know, like Han Solo from Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back. Anyway, it was too good to last. Apple’s lawyers killed it.
Apple Lawyers Take It Down
Society 6, the company that created this case for the iPhone had to take it off their website after a Cease and Desist notice from Apple. I guess Jobs was not amused. But fear not Steve Wozniak fans. His case is still alive and kickin!
It was a great idea, but Society 6 should have gotten permission to use his likeness ahead of time. Who knows, maybe Steve Jobs will change his mind (not to mention ask for a cut).
