“The Office” star Jenna Fischer has suffered four fractures in her back after a fall down some steps at a New York City nightclub, according to the New York Daily News.
The News reported that Fischer fell down steps at Buddakan during an “upfront” party — an event where networks showcase their television shows for the upcoming fall season — on Tuesday.
Fischer was reportedly taken to a nearby hospital, where she and her husband, actor-screenwriter James Gunn, spent the night.
The actress’ spokesperson told the News that the actress “avoided anything scary near the spine” and is expected to make a full recovery before the “The Office” begins shooting its fourth season this summer.
Fischer, 33, plays the dowdy secretary, Pam, in the hit sitcom. She also recently starred opposite Will Ferrell and Jon Heder in the ice-skating comedy hit “Blades of Glory.”
