Intel unveiled their new tri-mode Centrino technology that will enable laptops to access WLANs based on the 802.11a, b, and g wireless specifications.
The Intel new chipset dubbed the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection, also will have new software, which the company claims will simplify the end user experience, and support for the 802.11i security standard. Enterprises can also use a single sign-on feature, which the company says simplifies log-in and authentication to corporate WLANs.
