The St. Patrick’s Day Parade in New York City started at 10 am (an hour early) today on 5th Avenue because so many people showed up. And everyone is already drunk.
Cool for everyone skipping work for the parade. Crappy for us and the ton of people trying to cross 5th Avenue and get to work.
The street was totally blocked off with those metal crowd control barricades. We dodged a couple of cops and cut across the street between marching divisions of National Guard Troops.
The cops on the other side of 5th Ave were less than happy with us, but they’ll have much worse to deal with today. People were already drunk while we were buying our morning coffee around 9:30 am.
We can’t wait to see the puddles of vomit and trash tonight.
