NBC chief Jeff Zucker has given some credence to rumors he may add a 4th hour to NBC‘s top-rated morning show, the TODAY Show.
Expanding The TODAY Show
“The third hour has been a huge success. There’s no reason to believe it couldn’t keep going,” Zucker told the Philadelphia Inquirer.
“I would not rule it out down the line. It’s not going to happen the next year, probably two.”
“Today,” which added a third hour in 2000, airs from 7 to 10 a.m.
Al Roker and Ann Curry play a larger role in the 9 a.m. hour.
Meredith Vieira Replacing Katie Couric
Meredith Vieira joins “Today” as Matt Lauer’s co-anchor September 13, 2006, replacing Katie Couric, who starts anchoring the “CBS Evening News” on September 5.
