On last night’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Lil Nas X pants split on live TV while he was gyrating on a stripper pole.

Lil Nas X’s SNL Musical Performance Ends With A Wardrobe Malfunction

It’s obvious that Lil Nas X wanted everyone to be talking about his SNL appearance. The wardrobe malfunction occurred during an already very steamy production of his song “Montero (Call Me by Your Name).” For the performance, Lil Nas X was surrounded by six shirtless male dancers dressed in leather on a hell-themed set. One of the dancers even licked his neck in the middle of the song.

Then his pants ripped in the crotch.

As they say in the entertainment business, the show must go on. And so it did. Lil Nas X concluded his daring musical performance, cleverly concealing the tear by strategically placing one hand over his crotch area. It’s unclear if he was wearing underwear or not.

Twitter didn’t miss an opportunity to comment on the wardrobe malfunction. Fans immediately flocked to the platform to verify what they think they just saw.

A few hours later Nas confirmed that he did indeed split his pants… and it wasn’t planned.
