I have always been a fan of creating art and cartoons. When I started on this World Wide Web, I had a cartoon website called “Toonzed“. I drew comics for people to read. I even created a couple animated shorts using Corel PaintShop Pro. My video short “Mission Illogical 3” made it to ZDtv’s (later known as TechTV) “You Made it” back in 1999.
I have been playing with online comic editors. I started with using Aviary years ago. We all added our faces to JibJab videos. I made several comics at Bitstrips a couple years ago. Today, I started playing with Go!Animate – an online Flash animation website.
You can create a free animation within minutes. I created a movie called “Those with Bad Breath“. It starred cheeseburger and soda talking about people in the restaurant.
If you choose to take this past simple animations, you can subscribe for a few dollars a month. You are then able to upload your videos to YouTube or download your creations. You get coins to purchase new items or even characters for your animations.
Create Your Own Characters with Go!Animate
The animation area lets you create scenes, put in characters, background music, sound effects and more. Upload a picture and put it into your video. You can animate your actions and even move throughout the scene.
You can use your voice, or let the system create the voices in your animations. There is even an upload feature so you can put in custom tracks.
Go!Animate is Viewable on YouTube, Roku
The company just came out with the Go!Animate channel on Roku. Therefore, you can watch some of the great videos created.
