Good news for fans of Quarterlife. Not only has NBC has acquired the popular Internet series, but they’ve set a premiere date and a time slot. The broadcast version of the Quarterlife TV show will officially be Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2008, at 10 p.m.
Quaterlife: Hit Internet Video Series Gets Picked Up By NBC
After building a notable fanbase online, Quarterlife caught the attention of NBC executives and the show was acquired by the network in November 2007. The groundbreaking move has content creators in both the online and broadcast industries paying close attention. The Quarterlife show will inevitably be the first of many series to make the move from the small screen to broadcast.
Quarterlife TV Show To Follow Biggest Loser
Quarterlife will debut right behind The Biggest Loser on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2008, at 10 p.m. Then a few weeks later, starting March 2, Quarterlife will air in its regular time period, Sunday at 9 p.m.
The Biggest Loser is a great lead-in for the Internet series. “‘The Biggest Loser’ is one of the strongest shows on television right now among young viewers, especially young women, and we see this as a perfect opportunity to capture that audience with the highly anticipated broadcast premiere of ‘Quarterlife,'” said NBC executive Vince Manze.
