When McDonald’s added the Angus Burger to its menu in 2006, it was a big victory for the company. They were the first fast-food burger chain in history to bring hamburgers made from Angus cattle to the public.
The new burger was an immediate hit with customers, but it also came with an embarrassing PR disaster. For some reason, McDonald’s employees find the word “Angus” impossible to spell. They are repeatedly leaving out the “g” and misspelling it as “Anus Burgers” in various marketing materials including restaurant signs.
Here’s a compilation of embarrassing Anus typos from various McDonald’s signs and marketing collateral for the Angus Burger.
Anus Snack Wrap
The sign obviously should have read “Try an ANGUS Snack Wrap” not an “Anus Snack Wrap. Yuck.
New Anus Burger?!
What makes this Angus spelling FAIL even more unfortunate, is it’s happened before and continues to happen again and again around the world. Not only is it a massive fail, but it’s a complete advertising nightmare.
Hopefully, this ad was Photoshopped.
The Anus Burgers Are Here
Yeah! Let’s celebrate the arrival of the new Angus Burgers by sinking our teeth into some Anus Burgers.
Big Apple, Meet Big Anus
If you look carefully at this bus ad, it looks like someone cut out the letters “us” and moved them to cover up the “g.”
New Anus Snack Wrap
Bacon And Cheese Anus Burgers
Nothing makes anus meat taste better than adding bacon and cheese. Yummy!
Why Is The Word “Angus” So Hard For McDonald’s Employees To Spell?
We can’t tell if all of these anus typos are from McDonald’s employees who can’t spell, McDonald’s employees being funny or pranksters. Maybe it’s a combination of all three? What do you think?
