People love Pinterest and find themselves unable to stop browsing Pinterest images. But, why? What makes Pinterest so appealing?

Are you addicted to Pinterest? You aren’t alone. Millions of Internet users can’t stop browsing Pinterest images. Here’s a look at what makes using Pinterest so addictive.

Poor Flickr. They really dropped the ball here. Flickr was the first major photo-based social network. And now to see Instagram and Pinterest so popular right now… it almost brings a tear to our eye. Although Instagram definitely has a very loyal user base, pinners on Pinterest are almost like crackheads or junkies.

Flowtown and Column Five created this infographic that helps explain why people are so addicted to browsing Pinterest images. Look out Facebook! According to the infographic, Pinterest users spend an average of 98 minutes on the site per month, third only to Tumblr (2.5 hours) and Facebook (7 hours).
