A few months ago, MethodShop started a new feature called “Superfans.” If you “Like” us on Facebook then you’ve probably already see the feature in action. A few times a month, we single some of our MethodShop Facebook fans out for doing things like submitting articles and commenting on content. There’s no official entry process. Just Like us on Facebook and get engaged. If you standout from the average Internet reader, we’ll notice.
INTERVIEW WITH DOUG
Q: Do you know why you were chosen to be a MethodShop.com Superfan?
A: Not sure maybe because I am a nerd that loves dogs.
Q: True or False: Dogs are Awesome
A: True. Here’s video proof – http://bit.ly/g1aYcj
Q: You have a ton of dog photos in your Facebook profile. Tell us about your dogs.
A: The dogs in my profile are all secondhand hounds. Secondhand Hounds is a 501(c)3, volunteer-run rescue group based in Edina, MN. I have been working with them for over a year doing anything and everything that I can. I specialize in bully breeds, and have focused mainly on pit bulls because they are the most misunderstood and the most in need of rescue. So the dogs that you see in my pictures are the dogs that I have either transported or fostered myself in the time I have been with the group.
Q: You went to high school in New Jersey but live in Minnesota now. Cage Match: Jersey vs. Minnesota. Who would win?
A: As much as I want to be loyal to my roots I am going to have to go with Minnesota on this one. Reason being Minnesota has more snow, more rehabs, and more green people then anywhere I have been. We ride our bikes here when it is -31 and a foot of snow on the ground.
Q: What some of your favorite articles on methodshop.com?
A: I enjoy all of the Macintosh fix-it tutorials. I also love that I can direct people to those articles so that they can use them for troubleshooting before they call a professional.
Q: Got any topic suggestions for our writers?
A: I think what MethodShop is overlooking the most is tutorials on simple processes that can be done to keep a Microsoft Windows system running in out of the box condition. Sadly to say, Bill Gates still has a large part of the world in his pocket. Even though Windows have made huge advances in making their OS more user friendly for the average person, simple fact of the matter is it is still bloated and disaster prone. There are thousand of things people can do everyday to avoid downtime they are just not educated. If in fact this is something that you guys want to do, I will be glad to help.
Q: What’s on your holiday wish list this year?
A: A month ago, a couple of my best-friends house burned down. They were left with nothing but the clothes on their back and their cars. They have received a lot of support from friends and the community and have started to get back on track. My holiday wish is that they get the rest of the things that they need and can begin to live a normal life again after such a horrible tragedy. I Love You Girls!!!!!
Q: Tell us something about yourself that your friends reading this right now won’t already know.
A: My all time favorite movie is “The Land Before Time.”
