Being a parent isn’t easy. We all have bad days and do something stupid like push a stroller across the street on a Segway. But this Alabama mom must have totally lost it to get to the point where she was ready to create a “kid on leash incident” in this Verizon store in Rome, Georgia.
Apparently she didn’t realize that most people in a cell phone store either A) already own a smartphone with a camera or B) just bought a smartphone with a camera. Verizon shoppers recorded video of the shocking scene and posted it online.
Kid On Leash Dragged Through Verizon Store By Alabama Mom
Here’s the shocking video of the aggregated Alabama mom dragging her kid through a Verizon Store.
Yes, Child Leash Laws Are Real
Although some states, like Virginia, have child leash laws requiring children to be leashed in breweries, neither Alabama nor Georgia has any such laws. Honestly, I feel really bad for this poor kid. Now this child is famous for being in a kid on leash video thanks to this angry Alabama mom. Not a cool reason to be famous.
Unfortunately, the child was injured from the dragging incident. After being called to the scene, Police observed marks on the child’s neck and arrested the mother. She was charged with first-degree cruelty to children.
Child leashes are nice to have so your child will not get lost and noone snatches them. But this mother should have the same thing done to her in a public place. Lets face it every mother has gotten agervated at their children at some time or another. But she needs anger managment. the thing to do would be to tell the child that is not ok and that she would stay there as long as it took for her to get on her feet. and if she was pressed for time pick the child up go to the car and then give a time out at home or take somthing away for alittle while like the tv or games.
poor kid.
