Amazon‘s digital video business turned a corner yesterday. The company announced that its Unbox service has been renamed Amazon Video on Demand and that purchased and rented videos are now viewable on Macs and broadband-connected Sony Bravia televisions, in addition to PCs and PC-linked Tivo DVRs.

Amazon’s 40,000+ movies and TV shows are also viewable via the Windows Media Center extender on devices such as the Xbox 360.

Hop on over to stream a few free episodes of 30 Rock and Heroes now.
