Can cheaters really be this dumb? Apparently most adulterers don’t even bother to hide their affairs from the 500 million people on Facebook. Evidence of messing around posted all over Facebook surely won’t bode well in divorce court.
Linda Lea Viken from The American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, told the Associated Press “It’s very, very common in my new cases.” How common? She says that 81% of lawyers in the group have pulled up evidence on various social networks over the past 5 years to back up their clients’ claims.
There’s a nice list of post-nuptual screw-ups in the article, not limited to cheating, but also including a mom who neglected her kids for Facebook Farmville and a dad who raged in his status updates but claimed to have no temper at all.
