What’s left is a disgusting tar-like substance consisting of sugar and chemicals. This is what happens when you boil Coca Cola. Warning, if you boil Coke, it might make you throw up.

Soda sugar content is very high. By the numbers, a 590 ml bottle of Coke contains 65 grams of sugar. A liter has 108 grams. But Pepsi is even sweeter. 69 grams of sugar in a 591 ml bottle and 112 grams in a liter.
