Each fall, one of the things homeowners have to deal with is gutter cleaning. This year, my gutters were really bad. Inside, there was sludge that looked like black, oily worms. It reminded me of the alien infestation in Ridley Scott‘s movie Prometheus. But it turns out, there’s a gadget to help clean up messy gutters called the iRobot Looj ($95).
The iRobot Looj saves you the hassle of having to reposition your ladder multiple times while cleaning your gutters. Just put your ladder in one spot, turn it on and let the robot travel for you. The waterproof iRobot Looj will travel through your gutter like a train and blast away leaves, dirt, clogs and sludge. Its low profile design is just under 2″ high and 3″ wide and is able to fit in more gutters including most K-style aluminum, copper, metal or vinyl gutters.
The iRobot Looj goes where humans don’t dare. If the scientists on board the spaceship Prometheus needed to clean their gutters on their journey to the darkest corners of the universe, this is the tool they would take.
Captain Janek (Idris Elba) would easily pilot the ship through an unexpected sand storm while simultaneously propelling the waterproof iRobot Looj to blast through dirt and debris at 500 RPMs.- Dr. Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) would easily snap the remote controlled device to the belt clip of her sleek neoprene space suit, freeing her hands to investigate alien life forms.
- And with the efficiency of the iRobot Looj, Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron, pictured here) may not even be needed on the voyage. After all, the only role she served on board the spaceship was to make sure others did their jobs. And the Looj practically operates on its own.
Aliens aside, if you know someone that may need help with their gutters, then consider getting them an iRobot Looj.
