On Tuesday, Apple Computer launched a new advertising campaign featuring the famous rock band U2. The ad, which features the band’s new single “Vertigo,” began airing during Major League Baseball playoff games and other programs. The ad is notable as U2, like a few other well-known rock acts, typically does not allow their music to be used in commercials. But this was a special case for them, as the song was exclusively available for download on Apple’s iTunes service.
What Impact Will This New U2 iTunes Commercial Have On Consumers?
What happens when you put one of the greatest Rock bands ever and the coolest computer manufacturer together – absolute “coolness” and a pop-culture staple! Fusion of the two has created an overwhelming breakthrough of how people perceive the iconic art of their favorite music and the Apple brand. The silhouettes and primary colors say it all folks!
We think this new Apple U2 iTunes partnership will be a hit!
