When there’s a hurricane or tropical storm warning, most people will go to a shelter, hunker down or leave town. On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are the thrill seekers… like this poor kite surfer. He decided to kitesurf the winds of Hurricane Fay and got blown out of the water.

Getting Owned By Hurricane Winds
As you can see in the video, a strong gust of wind blows the kite surfer out of the water, across the sand, over the highway and slams him into a brick wall. Yep, he got owned by a hurricane. Ouch!
News reports say he’s listed in critical condition. Let’s just hope he isn’t permanently paralyzed. Here’s the video in slow motion if you want to see it again.
Things To Do & Not Do During A Hurricane
If you do find yourself in a deadly storm, we suggest you get to safety and prepare survival kits for both your basic needs as well as prepping to combat boredom during days to weeks without electricity. Kite surfing shouldn’t be on your “Hurricane To Do List.”
