One of my pet peeves is people who drive in the breakdown lanes or make illegal U-Turns. I probably see at least one U-Turn accident per month.
This Driver Just Made Their Last Illegal U-Turn
I couldn’t help but smile upon seeing this picture of someone who had decided to perform an illegal U-Turn right into a freshly poured section of concrete. Seriously, the construction crew is right there and there are orange cones everywhere.
Embarisenment aside, this U-Turn accident will likely be a very expensive mistake. The driver will receive a ticket for making an illegal U-turn. They will also bear some responsibility for paying to re-pour the concrete and fix their car.
Sometimes U-Turns Are Prohibited For Good Reasons.
U-Turns have a lot of advantages and statistically may even be safer than making a left turn. But sometimes U-Turns are prohibited for good reason.
I wonder if the driver had the guts to apologize to the road crew. What a dumbass. But one thing is for sure: this will be the last illegal U-turn they make the rest of their lives.
