NBC Universal named Deborah Reichig to the newly created position of senior VP, market development.
Ms. Reichig, previously senior VP at Court TV, will report to Beth Comstock, president of integrated media at NBC Universal.
Ms. Reichig’s job will be developing advanced advertising and media effectiveness strategies. She will play a role in connecting NBCU’s customers with its media properties through new technologies and applied consumer insights. She will also seek to develop new business opportunities with an array of marketing partners.
At Court TV, Ms. Reichig helped develop the ROI Guarantee, a revolutionary deal with several high-profile media agencies that guaranteed both ratings performance and levels of engagement with their advertising. She left Court TV when it was absorbed by Turner Broadcasting.
Previously, Ms. Reichig worked at iVilliage, now an NBCU property, and Comedy Central.
“Debbie is an incredibly innovative thinker whose insights into the worlds of sales, marketing and research make her perfectly suited to serve as the bridge between these critical areas,” said Ms. Comstock in a statement Monday.
