3D printing is such a cool technology. The ability to “print” anything yourself has so many cool applications. The only downside to 3D printing is the cost of the printer. Some high-end printers on Amazon can be over $25,000! But what if you could make your own 3D printer at home using LEGOS?! OMG! That’s exactly what a YouTuber named Arthur Sacek did.
And, like many of our readers, we love gadgets. So combine LEGOs and gadgets (is anyone else getting warm here?) and we’re ready to learn more about this DIY 3D printer experiment.
Wait, Someone Made A DIY 3D Printer Using LEGO Bricks?!
Check out the LEGO 360 3D milling machine created by a YouTube creator named Arthur Sacek.
In a time of do-it-yourself, Arthur Sacek’s LEGO milling machine allows you to create a 3D face from a florist foam block. What a great holiday gift for your boss.
With the exception of the blade, this nifty maker machine is made entirely of LEGOs, proving again the things you can create with LEGOs are limitless.
Living The LEGO Life
Everyone loves LEGOS, even us! The writers at MethodShop frequently submit LEGO related story ideas. Don’t get us started about the “Ultimate Collector’s Millennium Falcon.” Who doesn’t want to shake hands with a life-size LEGO version of Conan O’Brien? And c’mon, aren’t you ready to admit that you love Fergie’s LEGO dress??!
You can do almost anything with LEGO bricks if you set your mind to it. Just imagine if you had this DIY 3D printer at your house? Stop kidding yourself and go back to your Rainbow Warrior creations that you were building when you were eight years old. Maybe it’s time that you quit your job and become a full-time LEGO artist.
